About Me

- Name: kent
- Location: Baku, Azerbaijan
I'm in Azerbaijan. Check an atlas if you don't know where that is. Needless to say, I feel pretty good being the meat inside the Russia-Iran sandwich.

I didn't even see the Azerbaijan fence until I enlarged the first picture. It really is a minor fence. You couldn't even keep cattle in with that one.
Correct me if Im wrong...technically speaking....you put your hands out of AZ fence but not into the iranian fence?
Ya, I was just reaching into no-man's land. It's as close as you can get. Unless you want to hop the AZ fence, skip across no-man's land, and jump the iranian fence...
would that be illegal?
Ummm...would I get shot at?
Yes.
It has the look of an orchard. Like the set up for those espalier'd trees they use nowadays. Maybe its the telephone companys line.
technically speaking, I doubt u could get shot in noone's land...esp since no one would have jurisdiction over you - but that's my common sense speaking; the law on this could be smth else.
Gary, my first thought was that it was a telephone line as well... but i dunno... how do borders work? do both countries erect their own fences or is there one fence set up jointly by them?
Singapore - where i come from - is diff in the sense that she's an island so we have a bridge and a causeway linking us to Malaysia.
I wouldn't want to test your theory.
Each country erected its own fence in this case. Iran obviously spent a bit more money on labour and materials.
