The whole Olympics were fantastic, spectacular, wonderful, etc.
And Canada is finally in love with itself...publicly.
Wow Muriel! You're lucky you caught some action :)
It was amazing. Right after this I got stuck at Robson and Granville with about 20,00 other people publicly in love with our Country! Amazing games, amazing spirit but did we really have to go to overtime, the stress almost killed me.
Ya man, I hear you. In a way, overtime increased the intensity so much that winning was even more sweet. That said, a loss would've been that much more heartbreaking.
Not only was the overtime a big deal but the fact that Crosby scored the goal was also huge. He hadn't done anything for two games and then he got THE goal!
Kent, George is now a hockey (and curling) fan. He phoned to say that he was too tense and couldn't watch the overtime period and asked if I would phone when it was over.
So, while doing a dance, I did, "Crosby scored, Crosby scored, Crosby scored...."
It was SO MUCH FUN!!
