Much Better

I’m amazed at how much different two events can be.  You may remember my pal, Fred, who was completely disinterested in people going overseas - that event was aimed at rich oil companies.  Tonight’s event was completely different – it was all about water preservation in parts of the world where people are without clean water.

Not only were people interested in the action plan we (well, not me…I came late) came up with, but they were actually quite impressed that I had been away.  One lady in particular was fascinated with the intricacies of the Indian culture.

The highlight of the night was definitely talking about rural Mongolian toilet issues (and toilet issues in general) with a Canadian senator.

hi Kent,

sorry it took a while to reply back to your post. I was doing a ceed in Bangalore, Bombay, and Delhi with the LCs there, 4 in total. But I also ended up visiting @ Baroda and @ Kolkata and going to their JNC 2005.

You can check out my CEED partners 'India' blog at http://fansdenic.blogspot.com Its all in French though :)

Also, 2 people from my EB from last year are doing a CEED as well - Veronica, past LCP @ York will be in China, and Llorene, past VP TN, in India.

You're right, re-integration is not that bad if you have the right people there with you, and, its all part of the whole experience. I am actually starting to appreciate Canada a lot more now!

cheers,

vaithegi :)

Sorry I didn't make it to Cow town this time. Only had a couple days and my Dad was driving.

So hangin with Senators hey, Babin in the big time gettin into politics? Hear there's an opening to head a certain political party? I on the otherhand am hanging out with American software engineers in Seattle though I was at a party this weekend and it was 1/3 Canadians. Apparently they actually are poaching all our talent! Bring that up when you have lunch with the senator. (was it Tommy Banks? I love him)
