Greetings from Nakchivan

A typical greeting from Nakchivan (literally translated):

How are you?

Good.

What do you have and what do you not have?

Umm...?

What else don't you have?

Hmm...?

I decided to Google Nakchivan and your blog entry is already #8!!

The first hit is from an Azeri lady who visited there. An interesting read, as it is often the case that the people of one country hate those in another until they actually go there and find out there is no reason to hate them.

The very reason that everyone should travel!!

Nakchivan isn't another ocuntry. It's an exclave of Azerbaijan.

She made it sound like it was another country, so I ended up thinking it was one.

I should have been more careful in my choice of words, as I remember your previously telling me it was an enclave.

Ya, I remember saying "enclave." I confess to not realizing the difference between exclave and enclave.

Nakchivan is between Armenia and Turkey, but it is part of AZ.
