Protests in Ukraine

The protest went on, with police escort, quite a ways down the street.

It had been a while since I had seen a good ol' fashioned protest. This one seemed to consist mainly of older people who are against Ukraine joining NATO. Not sure what the history is with the particular group of people. Chances are they are Russia-oriented.

I've Never Been so Happy...

...to have electricity.

Three days without it tends to do that to you. Coming home each day was like waking up on Christmas morning, except you don't know if there will be presents under the tree or not.

I find it amazing how much your life changes when you don't have power. You spend a lot less time at home and a lot more time doing stuff. Makes me think we should have voluntary power cuts every once and a while to get people out.

Happy Remembrance Day
