Just In...

Duff Gibson and Jeff Paine just won Gold and Silver medals, respectively, in the Men’s Skeleton.  In fact, we had 3 of the top 4.  I think it’s safe to say that we pretty much dominate the event.

Nice, we're kicking ass. I even caught a 5 min clip of a hockey game the other night. The olympic coverage in India is great. There is a guy dressed badly in front of a blue screen that has a photo of whatever event on it and he explains what the sport is for about 10 min before picking up the BBC coverage of it for five minutes before moving to another sport and explaining it.

I loved the explanation of the snowboard half pipe: So they go on their board and get some speed and then go up the edge which is between 25-35 degrees and do a trick and land and do it all over again. ... (a long explanation of the mathmatics of the difficulty scores and calculating final scores.) Ahh, guess winter sports aren't big here.

Are in you Calcutta now? Enjoying the tea stalls on sudder street? You really can get the best chai in India there, so make sure you take advantage (12 times a day, like me).
